This is by far my favorite high end restaurant in JC. Extremely elegant and for nice occasions. The service was very slow which I'm sure it's due to the craziness of Valentine's day. We got their special menu. I had the salmon and he had the steak. Both were very very flavorful and we will definitely come back for another special occasion. We were so full at the end but finished every bite. Must visit location in JC but I would uber there so you can enjoy the fine drink selection.

I visited this restaurant several occasions and each time it gets better. They have outdoor seating and indoor seating. Food choices are about two pages. Large portion sizes and they season their food well. They have a large bar selection and a happy hour I believe starts at 4 to 7 PM? Wait staff is very attentive and polite. Drinks are strong usual price $10-$14. I did get a smoked old-fashioned that was on a special that I believe was $21. That was my mistake for not asking what it cost first. I usually never spend $21 on an old-fashioned. The interior is rather dark, especially in the evening. The outside patio is on the edge of the street so it can get pretty windy with the wind whipping.

I hadn't been to the Bristol in years but I wanted to have a nice dinner and it came to mind. The restaurant did not disappoint! The food was stellar and the service impeccable. I had the seafood grill and every single item was cooked to perfection. The crab cakes are the best in the city, and I'm not sore I've ever had a tastier scallop, even on the coast. I came here for a private event for brunch that included brunch cocktails for 2 hours. There were a few waiters when we entered. One passed out a few glasses to only a few guests, i.e. there were 2 glasses passed out and 4 people in the group. Thinking they would provide more drinks to those that didn't receive anything, but that was not the case. They had a few glasses later on filled sitting on the table and I passed it out to those that did not get one... The waffles that were served family style were dry and not worth the calories. For my entree I received the sliced steak with rosemary fries. The steak was cooked to my liking and the presentation made it feel like there was more steak than there actually was. The rosemary fries were thin, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned. The plate could have used a vegetable for balance. The waiter asked if he could take my plate, but I was still eating my fries and seemed confused so my husband just took the fries off my plate so he could take the plate. Later on in the afternoon, though I was still eating it, he just took it away without asking. I was disappointed because I was still eating it and still hungry. We had empty bottles of sparkling wine on our table that they could have replaced, since it was still within the 2 hour period of the event and we had to ask for more juice for the cocktails. The molten lava cake with ice cream, was standard and something that is hard to screw up so that was good. Overall, the food is good but the service could use improvement as well the portion size. I came home and ate a plate of nachos after.

Fire & Oak is always crowded, to be on the safe side, make a reservation. We came on a weekday before 5pm so it wasn't crowded. We were seated at a corner table and the waiter arrived with water not long after. We ordered the sangria pitcher. Though the pitcher looks small, we got 6 glasses of it and I would say the pitcher was good and worth the $39. For appetizer, we had the Mac and cheese. The cheese was very runny, but the pasta was good once you let the cheese drain. We used the remaining cheese to dip our French fries. Although I don't like shoestring fries, these were actually quite good. We also had the salmon that came with only 2 shrimp. With shrimp that good, 2 isn't enough. We also had the bbq ribs which were falling off the bone. They have a bar area and the restaurant is pretty large. The bathroom is a long walk past the kitchen in the hotel hallway.

Gorgeous upscale restaurant inside of the Westin hotel. Reservation is recommended for guaranteed table. Beautiful bar, wonderful interior. The menu has a good variety of appetizers, salads, entrees, steaks, burgers, pizza and vegetarian items. The mozzarella pizza was really well made, came out fluffy and soft. The grilled octopus was okay, would have liked it to be cooked little more. But loved the fire and oak burger, juicy paddy, topped with some delicious toppings. The crab cake was also excellent. It had some crunchy crumble topping, came with fries and coleslaw. The food came out within good pace. Service was excellent. We had a wonderful dinner with family and friends. Looking forward to visiting again someday.
